  These original hand painted 3.75 Inch square glass slides were rescued by David W Salmon from
The Tower Cinema, Hull, when it closed
We are indebted to David for preserving this most fragile part of British Cinema History that could so easily have been lost forever
They were used, before the introduction of adverts on 35mm film, to advertise both the cinema's refreshments, and local businesses
