Some of the secondary lighting batteries
There were 48 of these batteries to supply a total voltage of 110v DC
These had to supply this voltage for up to three hours to light fittings, approx one in three of all lights
in the building, if the main electricity supply failed
They were only for safety lighting purposes to enable people to evacute the building, and could not run projectors etc
