Built on the site of a former cinema the Savoy/New Queens, c1920-c1935, **
The Odeon was designed by Yates, Cook and Darbyshire
Seated 1501 (stalls 924, circle 577)
Opened 20th April 1936 with "Pot Luck"
Closed 26th November 1960 with "The Siege of Sidney Street, and "This Other Eden"
Macdonalds now occupies this site (2000)
