The interior shot, from 1957, shows the auditorium photographed from the 'gods' which is where the projection room was located. I should imagine it hasn't changed much. The curtains were red velvet, and when the 'act drop' went up it revealed a further set of 'french action' curtains behind. We were very fussy with our presentation, with music just coming to a close as the curtain raised and the red footlights dimming down as the picture hit the curtains as they opened. First thing was usually the Fox Movietone news.
